The role

Are you an experienced DevOps Engineer or Linux Sysadmin looking for your next challenge? Then, we’d love to talk with you about joining our team that supports Macquarie’s industry-leading commodities trading organization and is driving transformational change.

You will work closely with the business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that deliver enhanced capabilities and operational reliability to our commodities trading organization. In addition to working with the immediate team, you will engage regularly with teams in the wider Macquarie Technology group to maintain infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other aspects of our core systems. You will build and support the applications, while helping mature our DevOps capability.

This role is well-suited to existing Linux System admins who are transitioning into DevOps or for DevOps engineers already strong in their craft who enjoy working closely with business users and handling multiple queries.

You ideally will bring:

• In-depth knowledge of Linux
• Proven experience with automation tools (Python, Ansible, Golang etc.)
• Knowledge of CI/CD.
• Prior experience with working in public cloud environments will be highly beneficial to your success in this role.

It would also be a bonus if you have:

• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Previous experience transforming legacy applications to cloud

• An education in Computer Science

Salary : $130-160k base

Location: Hybrid in Houston TX, 2 days a week in office
